2019 Ultimate PRODUCTIVITY Bundle Full Review - The Good & The BadI’m big on disclosures, so I’m putting this out there right off the bat: For the first (and possibly only) time ever – I have a product in this Ultimate Productivity Bundle, my Wannabe Bullet Journal. This means that I’m a bit more personally invested in this bundle than I have been for previous bundles. I am committed to still remaining as objective as I can in the below Ultimate Productivity Bundle review, but honesty has always been extremely important to me, so I wanted to be honest about my larger involvement this time. I hope it does not sway your trust in me though!

First, some “announcements”:
1) As with all my bundle reviews, I strongly suggest that you start HERE: Are the Ultimate Bundles Legit? Scam? Amazing Deal? Or Marketing Ploy? where I answer most of the burning questions about how these things really work.

2) I am not able to review every.single.thing. in this Ultimate Productivity Bundle (gah, there’s a ton of stuff in it), but I do try to get to as many as possible. If you are interested in a product that I have not yet reviewed, email me or leave a comment below and I will try to get to it asap!

3) New this bundle review, I’m going to make the reviews easier to skim through and do STAR reviews instead of just text. Yay! I will rate – out of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – the following:
Value (if I think it’s worth the price they claim)
Quality (if the product seems to be well-made, professional, appropriate page length)
Coolness (if I personally think the product is cool or applicable to *me* specifically ?)

4) If you buy the Ultimate Productivity Bundle on 2/20-2/21, there is an Early Bird Bonus of The Morning Motivator from The Maca Team. Scroll down to the Bonuses section for more info.

5) If you decide to buy an Ultimate Productivity Bundle, when checking out you will be given the option to to upgrade to “Cheat Sheets” for $10. This is a 124 pg document that provides a quick summary of every.single.item in the bundle. If you’re one to get overwhelmed by the bundle contents and not sure where to start with them – the Cheat Sheets can be a really good help. They are optional and you do not need them to get good use from the bundle – but they can be a helpful option. You do you.

6) There are a ton of online courses/videos in this Ultimate Productivity Bundle, something like 30-40% of the entire bundle. Just a heads up to that. Personally, I prefer ebooks or things I can easily print and scan for the info I want rather than courses which dictate the amount of time and order they think I should learn something (I’m a waaay-outside-the-box-thinker here, can you tell? ?). I don’t review most of the courses, just because I unfortunately don’t have the time to sit through all of them. ?

Overall, should you buy the 2019 Ultimate Productivity Bundle? Your call.

Here’s why you might WANT to buy the Ultimate Productivity Bundle:

  • You need help organizing your life/time, and like looking through a bunch of products in order to find your best fit.
  • You’re seriously interested in at least ~$75 worth of items in it.
  • You have the time to follow through with your desired ecourses, printing/binding planners & reading ebooks.
  • You have enough wiggle room in your budget to afford $37.

Here’s why you might NOT want to but the Ultimate Productivity Bundle:

  • You’re already majorly overwhelmed to the point where too much stuff would only overwhelm you more (although, you might still be a good fit for the bundle but you’d probably want to upgrade to the cheat cheats – or keep my reviews below handy – to help you get started more efficiently).
  • You can’t afford to spend $37 right now.
  • You already have a time management/personal productivity method that works great for you and you’re not looking to change things up right now.

And now for the Ultimate Productivity Bundle review!

2019 Ultimate PRODUCTIVITY Bundle Full Review - The Good & The BadTime Management

  • Time Management How to Finish Your To Do List Every Day! by Marcia Ramsland ($47.00) (Video) – 32 min.
It was a nicely produced video, but it was pretty much just a powerpoint with someone narrating and every once in awhile it would cut to the narrator talking to you from her living room. But $47 for a 30 min. video? Call me cheap, but you can watch an entire season of Tidying Up on Netflix for free (well, if you already subscribe to Netflix).

  • It’s About Time by Aby Garvey ($49.00) (eBook/eCourse?) – 135 pgs.
This is an ebook, but the link I provided takes you to a course with the same name. Apparently this ebook is the same thing as the self-paced instant downloadable version of the online course? But still – $49 for an ebook???

  • Organize Your Life with Trello by Cara Harvey & Elisa Giorgio ($47.00) (eCourse)
  • Personality Based Time Management© by Susie Glennan ($4.99) (eBook) – 30pgs.
I liked this! I read the first third, then skimmed the rest, but I am apparently such a Type B planner, and it was so nice to read that my way of thinking and doing is normal! No wonder I never jive well with most planners out there and ended up making my own! I don’t think like all the Type A planners! Maybe once upon a time, before multiple children, I was a little more Type A, but now? Hahahahahahaha! If I didn’t figure out how to work among chaos, I’d never do anything personally fulfilling in my life ever. This seems to go along with a planner, The Busy Woman’s Daily Planner (not included), which feels a bit older and could maybe use a facelift – but even still.  Good ideas. Especially if you’re more of a laid-back, chaos-filled, kind of mom like I am. ?

  • Take Back Your Time: How to Become a Motivated Time Saving Mama by Emily Bendler ($4.99) (eBook) – 99pgs.

2019 Ultimate PRODUCTIVITY Bundle Full Review - The Good & The BadDaily Planners

  • Beyond Blessed Life Planner for Christian Women by Ana Willis ($17.00)*** (Planner)
In order to claim this planner, you have to “enroll” in their online course. Which, means that they get your email address, and there’s a decent chance that you’ll be automatically added to their “course” email list…or even if not, they hit you with an upsell offer right off the bat. I am not a fan of this sales funnel/list building tactic. The planner itself looks good, lots of pages in in the main planner, and a bunch of additional add-on pages. The one thing that I especially appreciate is that they include a Reading Tracker for Protestant Bible Reading, Catholic Bible Reading & Torah Portion Reading Trackers! I’m super impressed that they expanded to a larger Judaeo-Christian perspective! However, most of the entire main planner has Bible verses sprinkled throughout, both Old Testament & New Testament, which wouldn’t apply to a Jewish reader….so….I’m torn. The Torah reading part earns them some points, but I’m still a bit miffed about the whole planner/eCourse switcheroo so that loses them some points too.

  • I Heart Productivity Pack by Laura Smith ($34.00) (Planner) – 236 pgs. total
Lots and lots of planner pages, most of which seem to be focused around goals. This is a .zip file that contains files with weekly layouts, daily pages, master lists, and goal planning. My thought, and on my quick glance, was that I was overwhelmed and didn’t know where to start, lol. All the pages are super cute though, with little doodles and drawings. Might be a little too cute for me, but others will likely like this a lot.

The main benefit to this is that all the pages in this planner have text boxes enabled so that you can type into the planner and print from there. I imagine that this is a benefit that some people really want, but it’s not really for me.

  • The S.O.S. Planner by Kayse Pratt ($29.00)** (Planner/eCourse?)
Grr. Another one that makes you “enroll” in their course before having access to the planner. And another upsell offer right up front. Is this download/course enrollment switchup/upsell offer thing a sales tactic bloggers are encouraged to do? If so, I hope it’s not a practice that becomes popular as it feels a bit deceptive over here on the user end. I mean, maybe they chose the online course format in order to better organize the material you can download? Maybe? I hope? I’m gonna be optimistic and go with that*. Anyway – the planner is modern minimal style and aesthetically pleasing. It comes in three sizes. It’s got tons of pages. It’s of great quality. If I didn’t already make the perfect planner for myself, I’d be looking strongly at this one (though I’d probably eventually decide that it was too structured/Type-A for my personal planning style).
*edited to add: nope, I was unfortunately right about the mailing list thing. ? In the 24 hrs. since “enrolling” to review the planner, I’ve received FOUR emails from them. ???. [taking away a couple stars now]

  • The Wannabe Bullet Journal: A Loosely-Structured Weekly Planner For Those Who Need Both Freedom & Organization by Ronni Peck ($4.99) (Planner) – 474 pgs. total
This is MY PLANNER, so it obviously gets 5 stars all across the board! Pre-dated weekly planner from Jan. 2019-Dec. 2020. Convenient half-page size that easily fits in your purse or diaper bag. Layout allows for some structure while still giving you lots of blank space to plan however you want. Great for outside-the-box thinkers who want to plan their life their way — but they need a little bit of structure to get them going. Basically, it’s the planner I always wanted (and why I created it! For people like me! ☺) Also contains Sunday week starts as well as Monday week starts – however you prefer to plan your week. I appreciate that this is a different kind of planner and not the sale ole’ some ole’. I don’t have a chronic illness so this planner did not apply to me. However, I can see how this could be helpful to some. A lot of focus on breaking things down to figure ot what holds you back the most and how o create goals. • Goal Setting 101: How to Set Goals as an Absolute Beginner by Nadalie Bardo ($49.99) (eCourse/eBook?) -55 pgs.
This is listed as a “course”, but yet, once you go through a website checkout, and then an email to open, then anther website to the download page, in order to get to the “course” – it’s a 55 page .pdf file. Yes, there’s a link to a 9 min. video that walks you through the .pdf, but – is this really considered a “course”? I’m not sure about that. I mean, the ebook has a nice layout, the colors are pleasing, and btw, this author has also totally mastered pinterest graphics (I’m sure you’ve seen her pins, they’re all over and they looks great). There’s an entire huge section on S.M.A.R.T. goals, just in case you live under a rock and haven’t heard of them before. ? Although, this is for the “absolute beginner” so maybe that makes sense! Look, people will love this, I’m sure. It’s quite “on trend” & with all the right big, bright, clean stock images sprinkled throughout. I just don’t think it’s what *I* need…nor do I know if this really classifies as a “course” and worth $50. Eh, your call I guess?

  • Start Finishing Your Projects: Boost Your Productivity, Effectiveness, and Creative Momentum by Learning to Finish the Projects that Matter Most by Charlie Gilkey ($14.99) (eCourse)
I didn’t spend a ton of time going through this, but off the bat the thing I appreciated was that this was a change of pace, feeling like a more “masculine” course option in this bundle to balance out the majority of the more “feminine” offerings. Nothing wrong with either of course, but the different styles are nice to offer. There’s a little 30-something page ebook/workbook, and a bunch of links and videos, and overall it feels like a good, traditional, online course. The price is good and not over-inflated, which I appreciate too.

  • 90-Day Personal Growth Goal and Life Planning System by Cassandra Massey ($37.00) (eCourse)
  • Goal Setting Life Planner by Sareeta Lopez ($19.00) (Planner) – 27 pgs.
At first glance, I was like $19 for 27 pages, psssh. But then I noticed that the instructions tell you print 12 copies of the month pages and 52 of the week pages – yay! No excess padding of unnecessary pages just to falsely increase the page count! And that made me happy. ? Guys, I really wanted to like this one. Of all the courses, it was the only one that originally attracted me to look into. But I skimmed thorough some of the lessons and…it’s just not for me. It’s ALL VIDEOS. I’ve talked about this before in other bundle reviews, but I almost never learn from videos, unless they are highly-produced and quicker paced. I need a transcript or something to read, and I need to be able to scroll through quickly and assimilate information on my own pace. There is a bonus section at the end that has some basic printables like grocery planners and daily schedule, so those are worth something…but they’re also available so many other places than just this course. Waaahhh, I wanted to love this course and am sad that it didn’t work out. Maybe it’ll be good for you? If you like sitting and listening to videos that are basically powerpoints with narration.
UPDATE: The course creator emailed me to point out that there is a 51 page workbook included that contains the video transcripts! I don’t know how I missed this before, but I found them now and I’m giving them an extra star or two. ?

Side note, but if you’re looking for a (more expensive, but) high-quality and comprehensive chore chart – THIS ONE is pretty amazing! We have it. I love it. Er, the idea of it. I need to actually start implementing it again. ?

Planner, I think this is the only other Half-Page/Mini planner I’ve seen in this bundle. I’m a bit confused by the three files included though – one is for full sized planner pages, one for mini size planner pages, and then another file has some text like an ebook…but then all the exact same planner pages from the other files? Either way, this could make a nice little customizable planner.

I appreciate that this little guide made breaking down the overwhelm into extremely simple, small chunks. There is a page for each day of the year, and 1 extra summary page per month. I appreciate that they at least pre-dated each page instead of 365 pages of the exact same thing (as some other products above had done), however, this planner is not your typical planner. Each page has a couple questions about your positive thought for the day, and what challenges you’ll face and how to overcome them. Might be good for someone really struggling with needing personal affirmation each day in order to face the day — but it’s not really a “get-things-done” type of planner.

  • Balanced Life Guide by Lauren Cecora ($47.00)
    (eCourse)
  • Motivation Kit by Julia Bickerstaff ($18.00)
    (Workbook) – 123 pgs. total
Centered around the concept of a 100 Day Goal, and it comes as a zip file with 9 files/chapters. I think this is a great little book with some good stuff in it…but the formatting structure is a little strange. It’s hard to read as a .pdf because every page is landscape mode w/2 pages of text. The directions say that you can print it out and cut it in half to make a booklet — but then the instructions also say that this file is only for printing one-side, and not two-sided like you’d likely want if making a booklet. To their credit, they say you can email them to get a file meant for two-sided printing. But I think it would’ve been easier on everyone’s part if they’d just created the file from the beginning like most printable .pdf with each page portrait orientation. Either way – I do actually like this product. Maybe they’ll offer a re-formatted option/update at some point?

  • Perfect Project Planner: For Bloggers, Small Business Owners and Entrepreneurs by Eve Tokens ($40.00) (Planner) – 265 pgs.
So far, this “wins” for most overvalued product in the bundle! Look, it’s a bunch of planner pages. There’s some business-y and blog-y type of printables thrown in, sure. There’s some to do lists, and some project planner breakdown pages (that they call “sprints”?). But nothing in this is truly original and just about everything I saw in my scrolling through can be find elsewhere in other planners…or, if you take the time to search, all of it can be found free if you spend some time on Pinterest. $40? Does anyone really spend that much on a planner that you still have to print out and bind yourself? If so, I’ have some other stuff to sell you on too… ?

  • The Personal Productivity Toolkit by Paul Minors ($197.00) (eCourse)
This comes as a very large 3.4 GB .zip file!! I tried 3 times to download, but apparently I don’t have enough disk space and the download failed. I fully admit that I’m in desperate need of going through all my files and offloading a bunch to an external hard drive, but I haven’t yet. So…I can’t review this. But why, oh why, oh why must we download the videos instead of being able to stream them?? Do people who create video courses (that they claim are high-quality enough to be worth $200) not think about user experience??
    Value: not able to review
Quality: ⭐- based solely on current experience trying to access course

  • Work by Design Summit by Claire Diaz Ortiz ($67.00) (Summit)
If you’re someone who learns from watching interviews with others in the same field, then this will probably be a good fit for you. I’m not a person who likes to sit and watch interviews, so I probably won’t came back to it. But check it out for yourself and see all the speakers presented. If you see a couple names that interest you, then be sure to take advantage of this. There’s also a bonus section with a bunch of free ebooks and the opportunity to join a facebook group.

2019 Ultimate PRODUCTIVITY Bundle Full Review - The Good & The Bad**BONUSES**

  • Early Bird Bonus – only available to those who purchase the bundle on 2/20-2/21:
The Maca Team 1 lb. bag The Morning Motivator & 2oz. Yellow Maca Root extract ($32.80)

The Maca Team has been part of other bundles, but I’ve never before actually redeemed their bonus before. But I was intrigued by The Morning Motivator and thought it might make a healthier option instead of my usual mid-afternoon coffee. I tried it once, and it was alright, a bit chalky, but I may not have mixed it well enough. I was looking forward to trying it some more, but two things happened:
    1) The next morning I got a nice cystic zit (that’s usually hormonally caused) and
    2) ahem, this is TMI, but I do that Fertility Awareness thing and know these things: I had been gearing up to ovulate, but the day after taking taking some Morning Motivator my opk went extremely, and abnormally light. I didn’t take it again and the the next day after, my opk was back to dark and almost-positive, so I believe my hormones were affected somehow (maybe increasing progesterone too much so that my LH was temporarily suppressed? sorry – geek talk here… ?‍?)
Though I can’t be 100% be certain it was the Morning Motivator, maca root is supposed to affect fertility/reproductive hormones, so I wonder if I’m exceptionally sensitive? Either way – I DO want to try this again and I’m really glad I redeemed the bonus this time and it sounds like great stuff – but I’m gonna wait til a better time in my cycle to try it again.
I haven’t tried out the extract yet.
**You DO have to pay shipping, but it was ~$5.**

  • Cultivate What Matters – Goal Setting Sticker Book ($10.00)  – was only while supplies last, and as of 2/25 stock is gone!
I wasn’t going to order this sticker book at first because, eh, I’m not a frilly planner sticker kind of person. But someone showed a quick video of what’s in them, and idk, they looked cute, and there was enough of them to maybe make it worth it? So I redeemed the bonus. The sticker book is cute, and a good quality, and though *I* probably won’t use them the way thy were intended(not gonna lie, my daughter is probably going to commander then soon and they’ll become her artwork decor) – if you’re into cute planer stuff – you’ll like this a lot.
**Again you DO have to pay for shipping which I think was around ~$6 for this one.**

  • List Plan It! – 3 Month Pro Membership ($30.00)
This has been a bonus before in other bundles and I know I’ve tried it out in the past. I decided to try it out again, but hmm…I don’t really get it. I’m sure other people love this and maybe you should just check them out for yourself to see what you think. But it’s a website with a bunch of lists that you can print? Most of them you can type into I think? I’m pretty good with freehand lists in the margins of my Wannabe Bullet Journal planner, ha ha, I’m not really one to search for the perfect list template planner. But maybe you are.

  • SaneBox – $25 credit ($25.00)
SaneBox has been part of other bundles before and I’ve never redeemed it. It looks interesting, but I just haven’t pulled the plug and tried it! Maybe soon…

17 Comments on 2019 Ultimate PRODUCTIVITY Bundle Full Review – The Good & The Bad

  1. Thank you for this detailed overview and review! I’m not sure exactly what I wanted the Productivity Bundle to be, but this isn’t it. A person can only use a limited number of planners, and many of the included resources seem geared to people who don’t have much knowledge of productivity methods.

I think as you said at the beginning, this is good for someone who would like to try a bunch of different products and look for the right fit. It’s not for someone who generally has things that work but is looking to get to the next level.

    • Thanks Jess! Yeah, it’s hard for me to review these things sometimes because I realize that they’ll be good for some people…but not for others. I don’t want to dissuade those for whom it could be helpful, but I also don’t want to encourage people to spend their money if it wouldn’t be a good fit for them. If you’d like – and you’re not already – be sure to sign up for my bundle notification list: http://eepurl.com/c4cx3j and I’ll let you know next time I post a bundle review too. ?

  2. Some of the items are similar or the same to products offered in the other bundles last year. I wasn’t going to purchase this package based on your review, and actually purchased the Child, get off your butt – this morning after thoroughly reading your post.

However, I realized there were 3 other things that would actually be very beneficial, so I’m purchasing the bundle now through your link.

You are my go to for the Ultimate Bundles reviews. I still have quite a few to read from the previous bundles of last year, but the amount I decluttered at home, when thinking I had nothing to throw out, made it all worth it. (Most of the items were in great condition, almost no garbage. And my closets were neat and organized before the declutter!) In addition to the health and parenting things I gained.

Thanks again for the thorough reviews.

  3. This was so helpful. I’m one of those who would be completely overwhelmed. So thanks for curbing my enthusiasm.

  4. This review is fabulous, thanks so much for taking the time! I love ultimate bundles but currently a bit cash poor, so this has made me realise I can’t justify the cost of this one just now but enjoyed reading about all the products that I might opt for separately later. I love your product in this by the way, and so sweet to do it to be so affordable.

    • Thanks – I spend a lot of time on the reviews, so it’s nice to know that others appreciate them and I should keep them up. 🙂 Also…..sometimes the bundles go “evergreen” (see my main “Are the bundles legit? post), although for a higher price, so….maybe they’ll be another chance to get the bundle later too. Maybe. We’ll see. There are things I can’t talk about yet. ? If you’re not already, be sure to sign up for my notification list here: http://eepurl.com/c4cx3j and I’ll send an email out the next time I have a bundle review up. Have a great weekend!

  5. Thanks for noting all the products with religious content. There were a lot more than the Ultimate Bundles site suggested there were, and for someone who is quite religious but not Christian, this is important information. I wish the Ultimate Bundles site had been honest about the contents. A few of the items were ones that I had thought would be useful until reading your review and investigating further.

When there’s an aspect of a resource that is likely to limit who would find it useful (be it geared towards couples, the chronically ill, parents, or people of a single religion), that’s important and relevant information which should be included in the summary of the resource. Given they did mention such things on a number of items, it makes it all the more glaring on the ones where the religious content was left off.

So, thank you for your review and the time spent on it and the details you provided.

    • Love and agree with all you said and thanks for the comment! As a raised-conservative-Christian-and-still-have-respect-for-religion-yet-not-sure-what-I-am-right-now-but-I’m-still-spiritual-even-if-not-currently-religious person myself ?, I think it’s important to note when a resource assumes one particular perspective only. That’s not to say that those resources are not quality resources and have value for their intended audiences – but that it’s helpful to know upfront if a resource will/will not apply instead of feeling like someone tried to sneak it to you.

Thanks again for commenting and if you want to be on the notification list for my future bundle reviews too, you can sign up here: http://eepurl.com/c4cx3j

      • Agreed. A resource aimed only at a particular group may be more helpful to those it targets, but it’s also useful to a smaller number of people because it more strongly targets a single group in a way others can’t easily work with. That’s not an issue when you’ve got a few resources in a large bundle targeting the same group (and thus always leaving out the same group), but when that number grows, it really makes the worth of the bundle less.

  6. With regards to the above comment on religion – I am a very religious person – another religion. I really appreciate it when you point out when it contains religious content, as I know not to download it. The SOS planner is awesome – but she has some religion brought in. I but skimmed through it to see what her style is – and that is the planner I was looking for, for years. It includes everything I need in a clear way, and all the systems match! (For my A type personality) I’d love it, if it was neuteral. (I’ve researched through so many planners – the ultimate bundles has a few in each bundle, and some others.)

There were enough items of interest for me though.

  7. Thanks for noting honestly that some of these items are overvalued, not-so-original, not easy to use, or flat out just too much stuff (e-clutter is so the opposite of what I need to get organized). I agree with a prior comment that the bundle downplays how much of the content is Christian, which I am not interested in. I would have felt so frustrated and cheated to find that out only after purchasing, and I’m glad you clarified that. The comment that helped the least in this review was “it’s not for me”. Literally some reviews just had that one line, lol. Hm, ok, but this is my first visit to your page, so I had no idea WHY it wasn’t for you. Trying to figure out whether my preferences and personality type are at all similar to yours was a strange task to ask of me as a reader. It was only after the comment about hating to watch slow, low quality videos, preferring to speed through the fluff with a transcript that I thought, yes, me too!

    • Going through soooo many of these resources takes a TON of time. Seriously, way more time than I probably should spend on a post. I don’t get financially compensated for my time spent on this and because I don’t try to convince people to buy the bundles and earn more money for myself – I make hardly any in affiliate income (unlike other bloggers who promote the bundle). At the end of every bundle I always look at my time valuation and wonder if I should even keep reviewing these things in the first place! ?

So yeah, several times I state that a product is “not for me”, but I usually say a little bit more in the description too…as well as now leave star ratings too. I know that “not for me” wont help everyone exactly meet their perspective – but hey, I’m already going above and beyond here. ? You won’t find the things I say on any other blogger’s site or the main bundles sales site. I ALSO include many links to the actual product pages so you can further check them out for yourself to decide if they look like something for you…even if they are not something for me.

I can’t do it all, lol!

  8. Thank you so much for your detailed thoughts and review of these bundles (and your whole blog, actually). I bought the 2018 Homemaking bundle, and was considering this productivity bundle when it was available, but you pointed out the excessive number of courses and I just can’t. Like you, I need written words – I skim, jump ahead, and skip things that are not of interest, and conversely, like to spend a bit more time/re-read passages that are particularly noteworthy to me. I took speed reading in university and that process is just how my thinking operates now.

Another thought about the productivity bundle – on the one hand I love, love, love the planner part of it (as I am a planner and list maker! Paper only 🙂 ) but the other part of me worries about how it is implied that we must always “do” – and how rest isn’t valued much these days. Though, I guess theoretically if one was more productive, or managed time better there would be more downtime? Still, it makes me think of burnout and always needing to produce and go, go, go. They should make a bundle just for slowing down!

Would have posted this comment when the bundle was on sale, but you know, kids 😉
