I’ve been reviewing the Ultimate Bundles for awhile now, but I’d stayed away from doing an Genius Bloggers Toolkit review (you might also hear it called the Ultimate Blogging Bundle review or Ultimate Bloggers Toolkit review) because, well, because there’s SOOOO many bloggers out there blogging about blogging now, and I’m not really interested in making money by trying to convince people that they can make money. But after reviewing the recent Homemaking Bundle, I realized that there’s a need for transparency about these bundles, and that I’m really the only blogger writing honestly about these things…so I figured that I might as well help people out and review the Blogging Toolkit as well.

First, if you’re new to the Ultimate Bundles, I strongly suggest starting with this post: Are the Ultimate Bundles Legit? Scam? Amazing Deal? Or Marketing Ploy? It’ll clear up any general questions you might have about how these bundles work.

Second, I have to be honest – as a blogger, I have purchased the past two years’ Blogger Toolkits just for my own use, without “promoting” them.. Up until recently, I was never interested in significant blog growth, but I did want some general tips and advice on how to bring in traffic. And until I was ready to invest in a more expensive and robust blogging program, these Ultimate Genius Blogger Toolkits were a pretty good deal for what I got.

So, if you’re a new-ish, or growing, blogger who wants access to some great blogging tools, and you don’t have means to join a more expansive blogging program (personally, I’m part of Billionaire Blog Club), then the $97 for this 2017 Ultimate Genius Blogger Toolkit might be a good fit for you.

NOTE: Flash Sale dates for the Ultimate Blogging Toolkit are 5/14-5/15/18 only! If you like what you read below and would like to be notified as soon as the Toolkit is on sale, you can sign up HERE, or click any bundle link below, to sign up.

However, as with all my bundle reviews, I strongly suggest that you look the contents below and decide for yourself if you think the bundle will be worth it for you! Also note that I don’t have the time to review EVERYTHING included. Below are my thoughts on the resources that I’ve personally taken a look at.

Beyond Blogging

  • Blogger to Author: How I Went from Hobby Blogger to Getting Two Book Deals With A Major Publisher by Erin Odom ($30.00)
  • Flipping Blogs for Profit by Jenn Leach ($27.00)
  • ECOURSE Monetize Your Blog With Freelance Writing: Learn How to Make $2K/month Using Your Blog Writing Skills! by Sagan Morrow ($39.00) – Note that when you go to the course,  it’s now retailing for $29 and marked down to $19…not quite the $39 value it’s being claimed for through this bundle. Pros: No videos! I do sooo much better reading than watching videos, so that was a huge bonus to me. Also, I love this way of making money through your blog rather than some of the other, “selling” methods. Cons: Super short. You can read through the entire course in like 20 min. Which is kind of a pro, except I feel like if you’re claiming your course is worth 40 bucks, it should contain more material than a blog post series. Either way, I’m coming back to read this one in more depth, because I think it’s got great info and is a nice addition to the bundle.

Blog-Life Balance

  • ECOURSE Sweetly Blended: The Ultimate Guilt-Free, 4-Step Recipe for Building a Wildly Profitable Business Without Missing out on Family Time, Burning Out or Watching Money Flow Down the Proverbial Drain! by Prerna Malik ($69.00)
  • ECOURSE The Bliss-Filled Mama’s 3 Month Biz Plan: Your Step by Step Process to Designing Your Most Blissful Biz Season Yet!  by Kathy Stowell ($47.00)
  • Your Business Personality Assessment: Manage and Grow Your Business with Ease by Melissa Llado ($28.95) -17pgs, which makes this $2/page, which is kind of ridiculous. Especially considering that 6/17 pages are printable ‘fill-in-the-blanks’ pages. However, I really like this ebook encourages you to work in the way you personally work best, rather than trying to force yourself to follow a prescribed “checklist” of how someone else thinks you should do things. Considering I’m such an out-the-the-box thinker most of the time, with an “ambivert” personality (which is mix of both introvert/extrovert) this is what I need to hear! So while I really like this resource A LOT, I don’t at all this it’s worth the value they place on it. Realistically I’d spend $8-$10 on this, not almost $30.

Content Creation

  • 1200 Blog Post Ideas by Rachael Wynn ($7.80)
  • Creative Sparks for Business: 31 Business Ideas for Bloggers by Jennie Moraitis ($10.99)
  • Food Photography Tips & Tricks: The Ultimate Guide 2nd Edition by Christina Peters ($19.95)
  • hope*writers 3-month membership by hope*writers ($66.00) – I’ll be honest, I’m not totally sure how this works? It’s like a membership site and a course? There’s 6 “course units” for what stage of writing you’re at and then each “unit” has some “lessons” that are each written by a different blogger/author to encourage you in your writing? The few lessons I looked at felt like blog posts or online articles that have been compiled together and packaged into a “course”, but it’s being sold as a membership site? So yeah, overall, I don’t think this is a good fit for me, because I work better with a ‘here’s what you need to know and how to do the technical stuff, and now go and be creative and figure out the rest on your own’ type of person. But if you’re someone who needs lots of affirmations and encouragement from others before you’re able to go anything on your own – then this might be a better fit for you.
  • Make Your Old Content New Again: Six Steps to Getting More Traffic, Money and Followers By Updating Your Existing Posts by Katy Widrick ($14.99) – 26 pgs. This is a good little ebook, full of details, and I like the no-fluff tone of the author. Just my style. A great guide for someone who’s been hobby blogging for a couple years but wanting to start taking their blog to a bigger level. I do think that $15 is overpriced for only 26 pages though, especially considering that 6/26 are “worksheets” aka blank pages for you to write out post titles. Overall, good addition to the bundle, but not quite the value it claims to be.
  • Never Run Out of Blog Subjects Again by Max Kuivenhoven ($7.00)
  • ECOURSE The Effective Writer by Jeff Goins ($197.00) – I was kind of interested in the sound of this one BUT….um, so….so yes, I realize that bloggers get mad at me when I say mean things about their resources included in the bundle, but um, how do I say this without hurting any feelings? I don’t think I can, so I’ll just come out with it…..this is awful. It’s 12 short video files that you’re supposed to download. That’s all. No course outlines, no worksheets, no unit synopsis, no streaming videos. No “ecourse”. You have to actually wait to download each of the 12 video files to your computer and then sit and watch this guy talk…mostly about himself. I can’t even find the course online to be able to link to so you can judge for yourself. I actually sat through the first 3 videos and, I just can’t anymore. Maybe this guy has some good stuff to say. Eventually? All the 1st 3 videos tell you that he’s going to tell you how to be a good writer (and to let you know how good of a writer he is, and how he’s written 6 whole ebooks already, so he must be totally awesome). Oh and also that you should be clear, clean, and compelling in your writing. I know, shocker, right? Is your mind totally blown by that tiny bit of information? Totally worth almost $200 for that nugget of wisdom, right? Um, no. Don’t bother with this one.

Email Marketing

  • ECOURSE ConvertKit Masterclass: The Exact Formula I Used to Grow My Email List to Over 14K in Under a Year by Monica Froese ($47.00)
  • Email Lists Made Easy for Writers and Bloggers by Kirsten Oliphant ($4.99) – 124pgs. I’ve skimmed through the first 20 or so ages and so far, I like what I see. I want to read through the rest of this. I admit that for the majority of my blog life so far, I neglected my email list, or just sent random emails here and there. Only recently have I decided to enjoy talking to my email list and being real with them in a way that’s different than my blog. I’m having a good time over on my email list actually – you’re welcome to join if you’d like. I don’t sell things with my emails, I mostly just talk. So I think I’m gonna come back to this book to learn more.
  • How to Create Your First Opt-in Freebie by Angie Nelson ($29.00)
  • ECOURSE List Building Mania: Build Your List, Save Time and Grow Your Business in 7 Days by Lindsay Maloney ($87.00) – So I thumbed through this course a bit. Eh. Not for me. Some videos which were mostly just text on a screen (just let me read the text please, I don’t need to hear a voice narrating everything) and then some little worksheets about finding your target audience or whatever. I just couldn’t get into it. I really hope people don’t actually pay almost 90 bucks for this ecourse. The $5 ebook above, Email List Made Easy for Writers and Bloggers will probably get you what you want for waaaaay cheaper.
  • Problem to Promotion: A Training on Creating the Perfect Opt-in by Kristie McCollum ($39.00)

Getting Organized

  • Blog Content Creator Kit by Kaitlyn Kessler ($16.00)
  • Blogging Binder by Sarah Titus ($47.00) – 184 pgs. There’s a lot of good blog organizer pages in here. One to keep track of affiliate networks and what advertisers you work with where, blog and social media stats, weekly planner, blog posts ideas, hashtag planners, and a whoooole slew of other stuff. In fact, I *might* consider actually printing this one out. And putting it in a real binder. That’s a huge deal for me. I think this is a good addition to the bundle and something that has value. However, almost a $50 value?? I’m a bit of a cheapskate, sooo I don’t think I would ever pay $50 for this…but I might pay up to $20.
  • Free Your Mind Blog Planner: Dream Bigger, Organize Your Tasks and Achieve Your Dream Life by Mom’s Small Victories ($17.00) – 150pgs. This is way more appropriately priced than the Blogging Binder above. And there are a few pages that are different and/or not included in the Blogging Binder. This one is much more thorough on tracking financial expenses, Honestly, I kind of feel like (wasting a lot of paper and) printing out BOTH these planners and then picking and choosing from each to make my perfect planner. Is that I thing? Can I do that? Of course I can! mwah hahaha! 🙂
  • Printable Blog Planner by Gemma Bonham-Carter ($14.95) -hmm,. Yes, I actually reeeally need a good blog planner. I like that this file has a lot of different pages for things I need to keep track of, and I like that you can pick and choose which pages to print so you can customize for your needs. But, imho, I would never use this. It’s not my style. I need, like, everything all on ONE page, so I don’t have to keep flipping back and forth trying to remember what I need to remember. Also, you can find a lot of blogger planner pages for free on pinterest. Or create a bullet journal. A lot of these pages were just a three-column blank table for you to fill in. You could totally just use google docs to keep track of all this stuff. Not a fan of this one, unfortunately. The other two blog planners above are better fits I think.

Getting Started

  • ECOURSE BECOME by Dollie Freeman ($99.00)
  • ECOURSE Blog by Number: Every Busy Mom’s Ultimate Guide to Starting a Blog by Suzi Whitford ($97.00) –
    A) I get that this is supposed to be a “cute” name, but can I just say upfront, that for my very out-of-the-box mind, that anything “by the number” automatically turns me off.
    B) I get that I’m not everyone though, and mot people seem to like a very step-by-step-by-step-by-step approach to things. With that said, this course is written specifically to the stay-at-home-wannbe-mom-blogger.
    C) I have not had a chance to do anything other than skim this course, BUT, I think it looks legit. Like actually a really good deal as an inclusion in this bundle. If you’re a newish blogger – especially if you’re a “mommy blogger” – then out of this whole entire bundle, you might might want to start here.
    D) I’m pretty happy in Billionaire Blog Club as my go-to expensive blogging program right now, so I probably won’t come back to this resource, but had I not already had access to BBC (& if I were a brand new beginning blogger)? I’d probably be hitting this course up. STAT.
  • Blog Start-Up 101 by Crystal Paine ($37.00)
  • ECOURSE Choosing Your Perfect Niche: The Key to Launching a Successful Blog by Abby Lawson ($10.00)
  • How to Master Google Analytics from the Beginning: A Beginner’s Guide to Customizing Google Analytics for Your Blog by Dawn Aldridge ($6.99) – 53pgs. I love when bloggers place an appropriate price on their products! $7 for an ebook? Yes please! Also, I need to read this, because Google Analytics is something tht I only half-understand my way around but wish I knew more.
  • My 14-Point Blog Startup Checklist by Bob Lotich ($19.00)
  • ECOURSE Profitable Blogging For Beginners: The 4 Week Online Class by Tanya Peterson ($97.00) – hmm. So I was scrolling the “sales page” for this course and at first I was thinking, ‘wow, this feels so sales-y’. Then I realize that it was being offered through Blogelina. Which, back in 2015, offered this cool setup where you got 1 yr of free hosting, wordress installation, and some other stuff, for only $1, instead of their usually riced $97. Yeah $1. I haven’t seen them offer that deal in awhile, nor do I know how they afford that, but either way – THIS is the very course/program/setup that *I* originally used to start of this very blog you see here. So I guess I can vouch for it. 🙂 Though I don’t think I’d pay $100 for this, and I did eventually switch away from GoDaddy hosting to SiteGround (which is waaaay better, imho), but still – if you’re a TOTAL BLOGGING BEGINNER, this is a good place to start.
